EMPLOYMENT LAW: Another Claimant Joins Hooters Class Lawsuit

Sacramento – A former employee of Hooters has recently joined the class action lawsuit filed against the owners of five Hooters restaurant in Central Valley, reports said.
Maya Galakhova, a former Hooters server, said that they were forced to work without pay when doing special contests and events like car wash and bikini contests.
The lawsuit alleges mistreatment of employees who were deprived of rest and meal breaks as mandated by the California labor laws. Aside from this, former servers also said that they were required to work unpaid after their working hours and had to pay for their own uniforms.
