Employment Discrimination: FCC Instructor Faces Charges after Alleged Anti-Gay Views
February 8, 2010
A Fresno City College instructor has been charged by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) for teaching religious-based and anti-gay opinions as fact and science.
According to reports, ACLU claims that Bradley Lopez is presenting personal bias and sectarian opinions as facts in his introductory health class. The organization said it was addressing complaints coming from the students and it is giving the college until Feb. 15 to give an explanation on how it will address the issue.
An investigation is being conducted by the college to look into the students’ allegations that were filed in December. It was given 90 days to conduct the investigation.
The instructor continues to teach in the school.
