The Family and Medical Leave Act is a part of the U.S. Labor laws which is signed by then Pres. Bill Clinton and enacted on February 5, 1993 to let the workers, who absented in their jobs for quite a while due to their sickness or to take provide care for a sick family member, to take their unpaid leave.
