May 25, 2010
Gardena - A former New York Yankees pitcher Hideki Irabu has posted a $5,000 bail after he was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving in suburban Los Angeles.
According to reports, the 41-year-old ex-pitcher was stopped by the authorities last May 17 after he almost crashed into a parked vehicle and was seen drifting outside traffic lanes.
Prosecutors will decide whether charges should be filed against Irabu after the results of his blood test are released in around a month.
Reports said Irabu pitched for the Montreal Expos, Texas Rangers, and Yankees from 1997 to 2002.
