No Consumers of Del Monte Cantaloupe affected with Salmonella

Sacramento - No reports of illnesses obtained from the recall of Del Monte Cantaloupe at a California grocery chain the other day, authorities declared recently.
The grocery chain took 1,120 cartons back because it was reportedly contaminated because of salmonella. Those that were sold from October 5 to 16 were not safe to consume.
A Northern California grocery chain has also recalled several hundred cartons of cantaloupe after routine testing detected salmonella. Nevada and Northern California branches of Raley's, Nob Hill Foods, Bel Air and Food Sources stores had the product in their shelves.
The products fruits were removed from the stores on October 16.
