February 15, 2010

Oakland- Southwest Airlines is facing tweeter attacks from “Clerks” director Kevin Smith who claims that he was removed from a recent flight from Oakland to Burbank due to his weight,

According to reports, the director alleges that a pilot viewed him as a “safety risk” after he failed to put down his armrest.

Smith said he was embarrassed by the incident and he promised to continue tweeting about his experience with Southwest.

The airline issued its apology following heated online comments from the director and his fans.
